ABOUT US
Since its establishment in 2001, Zhongshan Youchi Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. has been rooted in Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City, the production base of casters in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. With outstanding technical strength and rich work experience, it has grown rapidly into a professional caster manufacturing enterprise integrating research and development, planning, production, and sales. The factory covers an area of 20000 square meters and has more than 200 experienced employees, forming a full industry chain of independent production capabilities from caster development planning, mold manufacturing to stamping and injection molding, ensuring that every product can meet the diverse needs of customers.

Medical casters must be able to withstand frequent cleaning. Hospitals use strong disinfectants to kill bacteria and viruses. These chemicals can damage casters that are not designed for them.
Corrosion resistance is very important for medical casters. The bracket and other metal parts must not rust. Stainless steel is the best material for corrosion resistance. It can withstand repeated exposure to cleaning chemicals without rusting or pitting.
Some medical casters use zinc-plated steel brackets. Zinc plating provides good corrosion resistance at a lower cost than stainless steel. However, zinc plating can wear off over time, especially if it is scratched. Once the plating is damaged, the steel underneath can rust.

Application Cases

Heavy-Duty Casters
Heavy duty casters can carry heavier equipment, making it easier to move. The main feature is their large load-bearing capacity

Cart Wheels
Cart casters are mainly used on carts, which are more commonly used in supermarkets and are quieter, reducing the noise of customers' carts

Equipment Casters
The equipment wheels are relatively lightweight and specially placed on the equipment. Some have a silent effect, while others require fast running speed. You can choose according to your own needs

Electric Trolley Wheels
Electric trolley casters are mainly used in electric vehicles. Electric vehicle casters require good flexibility and are generally universal casters that can rotate in every direction

Medical Bed Wheels
Medical bed wheels are mainly placed on medical beds, which require high hygiene standards and quietness to create a quiet environment for patients

Medical equipment casters with silent effect, automatic braking, and wear resistance
The wheel material must also resist chemicals. TPR and polyurethane are generally resistant to common hospital disinfectants. Nylon is also chemically resistant. But some rubber compounds can break down when exposed to certain chemicals.
Cleanability is another important factor. Medical casters should have smooth surfaces without cracks or crevices where dirt and bacteria can hide. Some casters have sealed bearings and enclosed brackets that prevent liquid from getting inside.
The design of the caster should allow easy cleaning. There should be no sharp corners or hard-to-reach areas. Some medical casters are designed to be fully washable. They can be sprayed with water and disinfectant without damage.
How do we manufacture casters
Step #1
Raw material preparation: metal (cold-rolled steel plate/manganese steel), wheel body materials (polyurethane/rubber/nylon, etc.), auxiliary materials (bearings, brake components, etc.) pre-treatment.
Step #2
Metal bracket processing: stamping and bending → welding/riveting → electrophoresis/galvanizing/chrome surface treatment.
Step #3
Wheel manufacturing: polyurethane/rubber wheels (mixing → injection molding → vulcanization/casting); Nylon/plastic wheels (automated injection molding); Cast iron/steel wheels (melting → casting → machining).
Step #4
Assembly of bearings and rotating systems: Install precision bearings to ensure flexible and low-noise rotation.
Step #5
Final assembly and functional integration: The wheel body is connected to the bracket, and modules such as brakes and shock absorbers are integrated.
Step #6
Quality inspection: Conduct tests such as load bearing, brake fatigue, salt spray, and visual/dimensional inspection.
Step #7
Packaging and Shipping: Classify packaging by model, support customized labels and logistics.
In high-risk areas like operating rooms, casters may need to be sterilized. Some casters can withstand autoclave sterilization at high temperatures. These casters are made from special materials that can handle the heat.
Good corrosion resistance and cleanability are not optional for medical casters. They are essential for maintaining a safe and hygienic hospital environment.
